Your injector looks at the under eye area at rest, smiling and in profile: the depth of the hollow, how thin the skin is, whether there are bags or pigmentation, and the position of the cheek that supports the eye. She also checks whether the hollow comes from volume loss or from a descent of the midface, because the answer is not the same.
The plan
You leave with a written plan: tear trough alone, or cheek first to support the area, the product, the amount in millilitres and the order of sessions. If the skin is very thin or pigmented, we will suggest skin boosters, PRP or microneedling instead, alone or in combination.

A rested look, not a puffy one
Good under eye work goes unnoticed: the shadow fades and the eyes look more open and more rested. We use a soft product in small amounts, placed deep with a cannula, and we prefer to top up at two weeks rather than overfill in one go.
The result is visible immediately, is judged at two weeks and lasts 9 to 12 months depending on the product.

Does it hurt?
Very little. The product contains an anaesthetic and a numbing cream is applied first. We work with a cannula through a single entry point per side: most patients describe pressure, not pain.
How long does the result last?
Usually 9 to 12 months, sometimes longer. The area moves little and the product breaks down slowly there, so results often last longer than in the lips.
What is the recovery like?
Mild swelling for 24 to 72 hours, sometimes a small bruise that makeup covers. Avoid intense exercise, heat and sleeping face down for 48 hours. We review the area at two weeks.
Hollows, bags or pigmentation?
If the issue is a hollow (a shadow that disappears when you gently pull the skin toward the cheek), filler is the answer. If it is bags or a brown or purple tint, filler can make it worse: we will suggest skin boosters, PRP or advice on other options instead. The assessment exists precisely to tell the difference.
Can you fix under eyes done elsewhere?
Yes. If the product is misplaced, too superficial or overfilled (a ridge or a bluish tint), it can be dissolved, the tissues allowed to settle, then redone properly.
