What to expect
Every treatment at SKN MD begins with a medical consultation. It is a focused appointment — around 45 minutes — in which a member of our medical team listens to what brings you in, examines and reads your face, and establishes a clear treatment plan tailored to your goals. There is no obligation to proceed.
The consultation covers your history and expectations, a facial assessment (including clinical photographs under calibrated light), and a clear plan setting out your options, sequencing, realistic expectations and any contraindications, which we discuss with you in detail and record in your medical file.
No treatment is performed the same day without a clear plan. Your consultation is complimentary when a treatment of $400 or more is performed the same day.
How it works
1. History & goals
We review what brings you in — your history, medications, expectations and goals. The conversation can take place in French or English, whichever you prefer.
2. Facial assessment
We read the face across key anatomical points and take clinical photographs under calibrated light, so your plan is based on an accurate picture of your skin and structure.
3. Your plan
We walk you through a clear plan — your options, sequencing, realistic expectations and contraindications — and you decide in your own time. No treatment is rushed on the day of your first visit. Individual results vary.

It helps to arrive with clean skin where possible, but it is not essential — makeup can be removed at the clinic before your facial assessment and photographs.
Yes. You are welcome to bring a companion to your consultation.
Your consultation is complimentary when a treatment of $400 or more is performed the same day. Any consultation fee that may otherwise apply is confirmed with you when you book.
For injectable plans, allow at least two weeks before an important event so results can settle. We can advise on timing at your consultation.
Medical aesthetic consultations are generally not covered by insurance. A receipt can be provided on request.
Some consultations may be started remotely, but a full facial assessment and any treatment require an in-person visit. Ask our team about the options.
You will be seen by a member of our medical team. Treatment plans are overseen by our medical direction.
