Neuromodulator & Fillers FAQ

They do different jobs. neuromodulator® (a neuromodulator) relaxes the muscles that create movement wrinkles — like frown lines and crow's feet. Dermal fillers add volume: they restore fullness, smooth folds, and refine contours in areas like the cheeks, lips, and jawline. Many patients benefit from a combination, planned during consultation.

Neuromodulator is typically priced per unit, and the total depends on the areas treated and the units needed for your goals — which is why we confirm pricing during your consultation rather than quoting a flat rate. We'll give you a clear estimate before any treatment.

Fillers are generally priced per syringe (from $450 + tax per syringe at SKN MD). The number of syringes depends on the areas treated and your desired result, which we assess at your consultation.

Results typically begin within a few days, develop fully over 7–14 days, and last about 3–4 months. With regular treatment, some patients find results last a little longer over time.

Depending on the product and the area treated, hyaluronic-acid fillers generally last 6 to 24 months before gradually being absorbed by the body.

Discomfort is usually minimal. Neuromodulator involves tiny injections that most people tolerate easily. For fillers, we can apply a numbing cream, and many filler products contain a local anesthetic to keep you comfortable.

Very little. You can usually return to your day right away. Mild redness, swelling, or small bruises can occur, especially with fillers, and typically settle within a few days.

Hyaluronic-acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme (hyaluronidase) if needed — an important safety advantage. Neuromodulator isn't reversed, but its effect naturally wears off over a few months.

Most healthy adults are, but suitability depends on your health history, goals, and the area of concern. Certain conditions and pregnancy/breastfeeding are contraindications. A physician consultation is the best way to find out.
