How medical microneedling works in Montréal
The assessment
Your nurse looks closely at your skin: pore size, scars (depressed or pigmented), active acne, sensitivity and overall texture. She also checks whether your session should be combined with PRP or a regenerative booster (PDRN, exosomes, skin booster) depending on your goal.
The plan
You leave with a written plan: microneedling alone or combined, the number of sessions (often three, spaced four to six weeks apart) and the areas (face, with neck or décolleté as an extra area). If the real concern is laxity, we will point you toward XERF radiofrequency skin tightening.
The price
$250 per session, or $675 for three sessions. With PRP: $550 per session, $1,500 for three. With a regenerative booster (PDRN, exosomes or skin booster): $600 per session, $1,650 for three. How much does microneedling cost in Montréal?
$250 per session at SKN MD, $675 for three sessions. Combinations with PRP or a regenerative booster are $550 to $600 per session. The number of sessions and the exact price are written in your plan before treatment.
Does it hurt?
A numbing cream is applied first. You feel tingling and warmth, mostly on the forehead and nose, but the session is very tolerable. There is no real downtime.
How long do results last?
The improvement in texture and scarring is lasting, because it is your own collagen. A maintenance session once or twice a year helps keep the result, especially for pores and acne.
What does recovery look like?
Redness like a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, sometimes light flaking on day three. No makeup for 24 hours, sunscreen is a must, and no intense exercise or sauna for 48 hours.
Microneedling, PRP or regenerative booster?
Microneedling alone is enough for pores and texture. PRP, prepared from your own blood, speeds up repair and suits scars and tired skin. Regenerative boosters (PDRN, exosomes, skin booster) target radiance, hydration and skin quality. Your assessment determines the combination.
Is it suitable for active acne?
Microneedling is our treatment of choice for acne and pores, but we avoid active inflamed breakouts on the day of the session. Your nurse adapts the plan, sometimes starting by calming the skin first.
Who performs the treatment?
Nurses trained in medical microneedling, under the medical direction of physicians registered with the Collège des médecins du Québec, after an assessment.
